RTF → Markdown

Upload any .rtf file or paste RTF content and the converter will turn it into clean Markdown preserving headings, bold, italic, and tables. This is one of the few free tools that converts FROM RTF to Markdown directly in your browser.

  1. Click the 'Upload RTF' or 'Paste' button in the toolbar
  2. Choose a .rtf file from your device
  3. The converted content appears in the Markdown panel

⚠️ Pasting from Microsoft Word or LibreOffice

When pasting content from Word/LibreOffice, use the 'Paste' button in the toolbar for the best results. It automatically cleans up Word's hidden CSS and formatting garbage.

Tip: Always use Ctrl+V to paste directly into the RichText panel - the app handles Word's messy HTML automatically.

Our cleanup engine now automatically strips hidden CSS from Word and LibreOffice when you paste - keeping your formatting while removing the garbage.
